Biography

Jack Burke earned his master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Illinois Chicago and his bachelor’s in mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh. In graduate school, Burke taught and assisted in teaching a wide range of math courses, from college preparatory algebra to doctoral-level algebraic topology. As a Ph.D. candidate, his research focused on algebraic topology and category theory.
